Michelle Malkin heads to Iraq, Leftists Hope She Dies

I try and read the Daily Kos on accasion to keep some persective on things from the extreme Left side of the aisle. Today I didn't get very far though. The actual post isn't bad, it is the commentary from the Kos Kidz that really makes me want to vomit.

For those who don't know, Michelle Malkin is a blogger who is going to be imbedded in Iraq. Before her imbed application was approved Eason Jordan (formerly of CNN fame) offered to pay for both Michelle and Curt from Flopping Aces to go and help his crew of Iraq bloggers either prove or disprove the existance of disputed AP source Jamil Hussein. Now that Michelle doesn't need Jordan's sponsorship to go to Iraq she has asked that extend his offer to the AP's executive editor Kathleen Carrol.

Some quotes from the commentariot of the Daily Kos:

"Anybody know any insurgents?"

followed by

"---checking rolodex--- "

"i only wish her the same treatment she would give a young iraqi insurgent who visited her in her cave in virginia.

she would certainly be courteous and respectful...no, really, wouldn't she???"

No obviously she would plant a roadside bomb, blow up his vehicle, tear his corpse apart, and then film herself dancing on the pieces. Of course she would be nice to him. Fuck you.

Here ya are leftists. This is the Daily Kos to whom so many politicos from your side of the aisle are bowing to for their "Netroots" campaigning and fundrasing efforts. Is this the face you want the Democrats to wear?

Another example of the tolerant left.

Yeah but what are the radical left saying?

The best comparison I saw was made by an historian who compared the current left to the SS troops of the early 30s.

I dont see any difference.

First of all. learn to SPELL. People judge you two ways. First, by the way you look, l then by the way you speak (write). They can overlook your lack of beauty, but if you speak as an idiot, that is the way that they will think of you. As an idiot that cannot speak properly. Nuff said.

There are times that I bristle at the poor grammar and spelling on blogs. Each time I respond to someone whose grammar or spelling is not correct I have to restrain myself. I have to remember that when I am responding to someone that sometimes passion takes hold and I allow the rules of grammar to slide out the window. It could be the same with the person I disagree with. In nitpicking as our friend has done he is hoisted on his own petard as well as destroying his own credibility while nullifying any future posts because everyone that takes issue with him will first look at his spelling and grammar as reason to ignore the point no matter how valid it may be. My point is deal with the points and let the posters mother worry about the spelling and grammar, unless the person is your employee in which case find a new employee.

I will readily cop to that as well, but as long as they have generally formatted their posts I don't mind too much. If it is just one long block text with no paragraphs or indents, punctuation, and every other word is misspelled and their first language is english I might off some constructive criticism for a bit but otherwise it just let it go.

I just love it when someone mangles their own grammar, spelling, and punctuation while in the process of criticising anothers' grammar, spelling, or punctuation.

Yes, Gary the coward deserved it I have no truck with you dear lady.

by the by criticizing and another’s' sorry I could not resist. LOL

Now hear this: Michelle Malkin does not answer mails from crappy little bloggers like me. Probably because I do not spew enough vitriol (like her).

What vitriol do you speak of? I am curious.

you are most welcome, anytime I see people throw away the content of an article because of an error in spelling I see red and usually give them a nice trollhouse cookie.

The wierder part of this is that I think he didn't even care about my spelling or grammar but rather that of a commenter.

Read her site. If it isn't vitriol (def: highly caustic criticism), what is it?
To Greywar:
Sure she does. If she's going to spew racist comments about atrocities I'd like to know why and I don't give a tinker's toenail whether she gets a million mails or not. If you don't service your high-faluting blog why are you blogging? OOps, it can't be serviced due to World-wide adoration: Jeez, who wants to adore a bloglady who is so wrapped up in her self-serving opinions?

how did she become adored world-wide if she doesn't "service her blog"?

If you don't service your high-faluting blog why are you blogging?

hmmm responding to emails is an integral part of blogging? Holy shit! I guess I have never "serviced" my blog then?

If she's going to spew racist comments about atrocities

Got a quote?

End analysis, you hate her, and since she didn't answer your emails, she isn't a blogger for some reason. We all know that every blogger with thousands of emails is somehow obligated to answer them all right?

Never having been to her blog before today I picked one at random here is what I read: I love how the always oh-so-sensitive New York Times has no problem throwing my ethnicity into an attack, when my ethnicity has nothing at all to do with the subject (the jihad vs. anti-jihad war at YouTube). Of course, if you visited NYTimes writer Virginia Heffernan's insipid blog to look at the petty swipes, you wouldn't know about it. She or her editors edited the gratuitious ethnic references out after readers complained and failed to note that they had done so. But thanks to Bob Cox, you can check out the evolution of the hilarious edits for yourselves:

Where is the bitterness, hate, caustic criticism? I gather from this that she was attacked for being either half breed, or some other offence rather than the content of her words. I have seen worse said about me on JU, I have said worse things to peoeple here on JU. This is why I asked what you were talking about. If you had something specific in mind it would have been easier for me to understand your point of view. Now that I have done the research myself it looks as if you just hate the woman because the NYT hates the woman. I could be wrong but that is how it looks today.

As far as answering your E-mail, maybe 200 people before you said the same thing and it was not worth commenting by the time she reached yours. I am new to blogging so I don't know the rules, is it required to answer each and every letter sent when you have a national blog that receives thousands of letters an hour?
