Objectdock newsfeeder

Rss feeder problems

I've been having trouble with the included rss feeder that comes with
the standard objectdock.
The only two feeds that work are yahoo news, and wired news.
And unfortunately, the one that I wanted to have working is The Register.

When I try to get it to update, it gives me the following error.

Error - Server reply was not an rss page

I've been digging around on the internet, and I find nothing on this.

I also tried a link for The Register that I found in this forum:
http://www.theregister.co.uk/tonys/slashdot.rdf

But that only gives me the same error I posted above.

I'm mainly looking for a good feed that deals mainly with tech/pc's
like http://www.xbitlabs.com or http://techreport.com/

But if somebody knows how to get The Register working that would be great.

I have the standard object dock (that would be the free version) I don't have an rss option.

I do have an rss option via ObjectBar.

Went to The Reg, clicked newsletters and feed on the left:

http://www.theregister.co.uk/Design/page/feeds.html

scrolled down to the rss section, clicked wild wild web:

http://www.theregister.co.uk/internet/web/headlines.rss

used the drop down to browse to C:\Program Files\Stardock\Object Desktop\ObjectBar and clicked the OBar exe, then choose subscribe and it shows up

I have Objectdock v 1.30 and the rss reader is under the docklets tab where
it's called a DockFeeder Docklet.

Adding the rss address in it is fairly simple. I just right click
the docklet, select congigure docklet, and drop the address in the custom bar.

So anyway, I dropped in the one you posted and it works!

I don't know why the default link for The Register won't work, or
the one I posted above for that matter.
But the one you posted did.

Thanks!
