desktop *color* changes back to gray every time i log on

Hi, everytime I logon to windows, my desktop background color is always gray, no matter how many times I set it back to black.

I like to center some non-wallpaper sized images and use them as a desktop wallpaper, so it's important to me that the desktop color always stay black.

Anyone know how to fix this?

the desktop color is set by the skin
you can change that via skin studio - but you'll also mess with the skin

bet bet, create a black wall with your pic centered in it and use that

yeah, but i change the image a *lot* and doing that for everything in "my pictures" would be kind of a pain... i need a general solution.

isn't there some way to force windowblinds to ignore that skin setting? override it to always be black?

barring that, can you tell me how to edit it in skin studio? i'm having a bit of trouble doing that... thanks for the help!

Open the skin in skin studio, and find the Classic Colors section there in the middle where it shows the preview (easiest way for me), then just click on the window and find the Misc > Background - desktop and change it to black. Should work.
