Christmas desktop objects

Part 1

Grab yourself a copy of DesktopX and start adding additional goodies to your Windows desktop!

DesktopX is the program that first made is possible to put live desktop objects onto Windows. While many people use DesktopX to create mini-applications (widgets and gadgets) it's far more flexible than that. Here are some goodies to try out:

Created by AlexG. This snow globe is fully animated (pick it up and shake it for the snow to go off) and alpha blended on any version of Windows (which means that if you change your wallpaper you'll be able to see the wallpaper through the glass portion). It defaults to pointing at My Computer

This Christmas tree can do whatever you want it to do. I have it pointing to Network Neighborhood but that can be easily changed. The lights blink and it's fully alpha blended.

This animated snowman can act as a short-cut to anything you want but defaults to your documents directory.

Set how many snow flakes you want and it'll have them gently fall to the ground (or quickly depending on your settings)

Here is another set in the Christmas Light series. You can right-click and clone the object, and string them along your desktop. Enjoy!

More to come!
