eBay Not Too Bright

I received yet another one of those fake eBay scam letters. Instead of deleting it as I normally do I decided to forward it to ebay's scam reporting address, not that I think it will actually do any good but what the heck. try to make trouble for scammers whenever you can, right?

Here is an excerpt from the reply they sent me:

Hello,

Thank you for writing to eBay regarding the email you received.

Emails such as this, commonly referred to as "spoof" or "phished"
messages, are sent in an attempt to collect sensitive personal or
financial information from the recipients.

The email you reported was not sent by eBay. We have reported this email
to the appropriate authorities.
End of quote

No kidding? Really? Why do you idiots think I forwarded it to your scam reporting address in the first place?

Morons.
