Incorrect file extentions on Stardock dwnlds

I downloaded Ikons and widgets and they came with Bootskin file extentions and ikons. How can I change them so I can load them properly? Why did this happen in the first place? I was using Opera. Please help!

Can you give us the name of the skins that caused this?...or a link.

It may be 'just' an issue with the browser 'saving as' and adding the incorrect extension...one from a previous choice by you...
