How can I hide the desktop icons but show the text below them?

as the title says, how can I hide my desktop icons, but still see the text below them on the desktop. Or if I can hide the text, only showing the icons that would be good as well. I just don't like having BOTH the icons and text below them together on the desktop, and I don't like having no icons and no text on the desktop, I'd like to be able to choose one or the other. Any help??

Thanks

WindowFX will let you hide the icon text on the desktop.

use blank icons

right click an icon on your desktop, properties, you'll usually find an 'customize' and 'change icon' option. browse to your blank icon and apply it.

Hey everyone, I finally got it exactly how I wanted it to be. It's tricky because the desktop font wants to become the same as the window font. If you arrange the icons or reload windowblinds it will go back to Arial. Here's how it looks : )
