Object Dock appearing always when Start hit.

How do I set it so that tabbed docks do not always appear when I click on the window start button?   I do not have the docklet start feature on the tabbed dock.

Also, the docks always seems to be on top of windows, or, at least, the majority of the time.

Help.

Thanks.

Oops. I meant to say the tabbed docks always appear when I move the cursor onto the taskbar, as well as the Start Button.

This is probably due to the Hotspot settings you have chosen.

Open the tabbed dock settings by right-clicking it and selecting dock settings.

Now click on the Hotspots tab. There are two things you can due to correct this, first you can completely take the hotspot away so it will never happen, or you can set the delay to maximum, but then you'll still have the dock pop up if you keep your mouse down there long enough.

To completely take the hotspot away, just click the "white" arrows in the dialog you see and then click the drop-down menu. Once here, select the option that says "Due nothing to this tabbed dock". There are three arrows along the bottom, so make sure you do this for all that are "white" or active.

To set the activiation delay instead of getting rid of the hotspot, click the arrow on the screen where you want the hotspot and then set the "Activation Delay (for all) scroll bar all the way to the right or "Very Long".

Hope that fixes the issue.

Thanks so much for answering this question, I was about to go post about this myself but thought I'd see if I could find the answer somewhere first. Is nice to be able to browse the forums right in SD Central, very slick and made perusing them kinda nice lol. Anyways thanks as this answer fixed it for me too

I was having this issue also but found the resolution as described...well sort of.

I still have one active hotspot about centre screen and have tried several times in vain to remove it....but thanks muchly, KiloKrash, I've a better idea now as to set OD to no hotspots, which is how I'd prefer it. The autohide/reappear on mouseover is what I want so I'll go back in and follow your directions.
