I have finally conceeded to the wishes of soo many and created this daily journal. I hope that you will find it funny, sad, crazy and informative. Its a day to day recollection of my time here in Conakry,Guinea West Africa.. please feel free to add, comment or just vent ideas in this space..

Well,its 1:10am on April 27th 2004. I have completed the emailing to my friends and family and now I will see who replys.


We finally had rain here last night. One of those beautiful storms that you can see coming from miles away. A massive black cloud rolled through our area and we started with small winds and then dust and soon it was Kansas,Dorothy, and the winds and I was looking for TOTO... It rained for over a hour and at times the wind was blowing so hard that it was raining sideways!!!

Then as quickly as it started it was done.. Just like man.. it was so parched here that there were almost no puddles of water it soaked right into the ground.

Today is day 46 straight 12 on 12 off...

I miss my Carla.. silly missing a dog!!

Well it turns out that in order to repy to any of my ramblings you have to create a account.. which is just stupid.. I havent gotten many replies and those who did all say the same thing.. I needed to create a account to reply.. That takes the fun out iofit.. Oh WELL...

tODAY I SLEPT ALL DAY.. uSUALLY WHEN IM ON THE NIGHT SHIFT i SLEEP TILL NOON OR SO AND LAZE AROUND. BUT i DIDNT TODAY.. DAM caps...

The guy who helps me out.. I will not use the term house boy or maid.. Brought me a picture frame.. actually I gave him a nioce picture of me and the band guys from ONELOUDER... www.onelouderrocks.com and took it to the market and found a frame.. now I just have to hammer away at the concrete walls to get it hung.. I will do that next week..

I will finally get 2 whole days off next week.. Cant wait. MY new dirt bike is here FINALLY after many delays.. I will get it friday then take it to the shop for grease and air and new tires.. I upgraded the tires.. then monday I get the paperwork finished and I am ready right in time for my 2 days off tuesday/wednesday..

There appears to be a rain storm coming its 804pm and its breezy and cloudy stay tuned.....

So what's the latest scoop? Or have you given up on the blog before you even let it try to have a life of it's own? Did the new dirt bike survive your first two days off in a month of Sundays?? (lol) Inquiring minds and all.....
