Who would Jesus deport?

Using Children and God to manipulate other people is wrong. I don't care what your postition on on illegal aliens is, but as far as I am concerned.....IT ILLEGAL (hense the phrase, illegal alien!)

We are expected to abide by a set of rules in society. Even if we don't like the speed limit or a particular law.....we still are obligated to follow the rules or face the consequenses of our actions. Illegaly coming into the USA means that you face the chance of deportation. That is the consequense for breaking the law. I admit, the chance of NOT being deported is pretty good. But the consequense is still out there. And if you are busy popping out kids while breaking the law. It shouldn't remove the consequense.

So don't send your cute kid into a courtroom to convince YOUR government to beg that you get to break the law. Don't try to manipulate the situation by pimping your child to the media. AND DON'T have him wear a "Who would Jesus Deport?" shirt to get the God aspect in it.

God gave some rules too and someday you will be held accountable for those actions too. Doesn't He mandate to be honest? So why are you being dishonest in the first place? The government doesn't work like God. You can't just say, "I believe in you." and expect to have your crimes forgiven.


I have no sympathy for dishonest, manipulative hippocrytes.

I agree with your major premise, lifehappens, but there are some minor issues that I have a problem with. I do not believe we simply follow the government like sheep because "it IS the law of the land". I believe we have a moral duty to stand up when we feel laws are truly unjust.

THAT being said, though, I have to reiterate that I agree with your premise. IF there were no legal means for immigration, and IF this woman had no other means to provide for her family, I'd personally march with her, or even offer her sanctuary and stand up against you or anyone else who tried to say differently. But the facts remain: there ARE legal means to immigration, and Mexico DOES offer some level of ability to provide for your family. If these citizens would stop "looking to the north" and work to fix the problems in their own country, they might actually have to worry about border crossings the OTHER way!

Then stand up and change the law using legal channels, we are nowhere near the "rise up and overthrow the evil government stage" so the laws of the land stand.

If someone was fleeing (communist) NK I would expect our government to offer sanctuary and arrange for a solution to the situation, but THIS is different. She choose to break the law for years and then use her child to ply on the sympathy of the media. I'm not against immigration, just those who choose to repeatedly break our laws.

But the BIG issue here is how people think that if they mention kids or God, they expect everyone to forget the crimes they chose to commit. Consequenses shouldn't change becuase you have a cute kid or a rosary and a sad story. And this applies to ALL situations, not just illegal immigration.
