I got Carded!

I had to blog about this! I made a stop at the gas station on my way in this morning because of my hubby, who was already at work, (we work in the same area), he insisted I buy him a pack of smokes. I usually protest, cause I want him to quit and then I give in because I know he doesn't do drugs or drink excessively anymore and he was whining! I hate it when he whines!LOL! So I gave in and I said I'll stop to pick it up.

Well, when I asked for "a pack of Newport 100s please" the lady, or more like the young college-aged lady behind the counter looked at me and then she goes, "can I see some ID please?" I'm like, "What" cause I'm not sure I heard right and there's a line behind me. I repeated myself, she said it again! I laughted and I pulled out my license and showed her! She realised why I was laughing and then she apologised, I said, no way, it's ok! Thanks for making my day!

I left smiling! It's been a while since I got carded and this time around it felt really good!

How old are you if you don't mind me asking. And how old do you look?

I am 24 and got carded pretty much everywhere (Connecticut is strict if you look under 30)

Then, a few weeks ago I decided to grow a beard and have not been carded since! Amazing how a little bit of hair can make you look so different.

Maybe you should grow a beard (jk lol)

41. Hmmm, it depends on my mood which will dictate how I'm dressed!! Today I'm looking pretty trendy! so that had somethngn to do with it!


As for how old do I look, same as above response, although people are sometimes surprised that I have a 17 year old!

Isn't it funny when you make the transition to being complimented by being carded. I am 35 and still get carded but somehow I think maybe it's because I'm short. I think people think if you're short, you're young. Stupid but seems true.

like Caracarn, my province is somewhat strict with the carding, and I get it often. The thrill wears off when you've forgotten your ID at home, you're in a rush, and you know that you are a good 15 years older than the person carding you.

Yes, that's funny, strange and haha...but since I know I'm older and no spring chicken anymore, ! I take it as a compliment! But yea, they do do that to people of shorter stature. Most times you guys look so young anyway!

I can't remember the last time I got asked for my I.D.

Hell, when I was in high school I'm the one who bought the alcohol since I never got carded. It was cool back then now not so much.
