IE7 Not Working Properly with Windowblinds

I have just upgraded to IE7 and find that the command bar does not appear and the tabbed browsing is not working at all.  Even if I right click a web link there is no option to 'open in a new tab'.  I eventually tracked it down as an incompatibility with Windowblinds.

I have now set IE7 not to be skinned in per user override in WB and now IE7 works as it should.  Although I use Firefox for the majority of the time I would like to be able to get IE7 working properly.  Anyone else had this problem and is there a fix for it ?  (I currently have WB 5.1)

What skin are you using?

Complete WB skins should work fine with IE7

I am not having that problem but I have a skin set to roll up when you right-click on the title bar and instead it gives me the sizing menu pull down. If I then left click on the title bar or anyplace else when the menu is showing it rolls up. Then the same thing for un-rolling it.

Just in case anyone is interested here is my system info.

IE7 is working perfect with WindowBlinds on my system including the right-click/rollup feature. I've tried it with over a dozen different WB skins and they all work great.

Neil, I am using iGlass2SE skin - however no matter which skin I use I get the same problem. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling IE7 (with WB unloaded) but problem persists. If I revert to the standard XP Style then IE7 works as it should; I'm wondering if there is a wrong setting somewhere on my system but I haven't a clue where to start.

Often such problems are caused by one or more "Addons" which have been installed for IE6 but are incompatible with IE7. You might find uninstalling any Addons, one at a time and then running IE7 after each removal could determine the "guilty" one and resolve your issue.

Hi, I am experiencing exactly the same problems as jspr - IE7 tabbed browsing and command bar being disabled when using *any* WB skin, but working when WB is unloaded (ie using Windows Classic theme) or when IE7 is completely excluded from WB skinning.

Same as Hapkido, here, see post #3. WB5.5 and IE7 and DX "Moonlight" by gef, CursorXP+, IP, widgets, all running fine so far. System: homebuilt P4 1.4 on Intel 850GB, 512 RAMBUS RAM, ATI Radeon X700 PRO vid card, SyncMaster 910MP 1280 X 1024. Haven't changed any settings in IE7 or WB5.5 or vid card. Best of luck and have patience.

Forgot to mention in my original post that I have tried disabling all third party addons loaded in IE7 when WindowBlinds is also loaded to see if this results in the tabbar appearing - no such luck I'm afraid!

"Disabling" them may not be enough. I've read where some have had to totally remove the addons and then reinstall them to correct their own anomalies. Yep, it's a pain to do this, but not overly so if it does in fact fix your issues.
