had bootskin

bootskin has caused issues for lots of people due to different BIOS - but generally it's at startup.

possibly it's the chipset?
there are others will actual knowledge in that area.....

your's isn't listed in Pictoratus' list compiled back in January

still looking....

If Logon Studio causes problems it's also generally at the login in screen

CursorXP draws upon graphics - some cursors draw more than other (and contrary to other areas of discussion, size does matter here).

I will stay away from bootskin, logonstudio, and cursorXP for now. I also downloaded some suites from wincustomize, and I should of probably read about them before downloading them. They might of been the cause too. Thanks for the help.

So far it is still working fine. I have only downloaded windowblinds files from wincustomize and changed different things. I downloaded suites before and it might have been something wrong with those already made suites on wincustomize. Heck, what can I say now that it works. I am using eminence theme for windowblinds.

do you have 'enable mcp smartstartup' checked in SDC setting?
No I don't have mcp smartstartup enabled. I just checked in stardock central and it was already enabled and I guess always been. I never went in the general settings until now. Currently I am back to no install of stardock products again. I just spent endless hours of trying to figure why it would not work. Since last I posted it screwed up again and it got even worse. I am soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo sick of playing with it. I am not touching it now. Maybe before my subscription is up, if stardock will do something about it, I will put it back on.

Well, crap.

Have you put in a ticket?

Bear in mind, while the support people do stop by once in a while, the forums are basically users trying to help other users.
Yes, I put in a ticket 2 days ago. I turned off the mcp smartstartup. I read in another post that it was still kind of beta.

Everything is purcased , no crack or trial / Object Desktop Network

I have uninstalled everything , and installed again.
Have just WB and Iconpackager installed

I have also tried lastest WB beta, with no luck.

Is it possible that windows xp is the case?
Or is it WB?

Thanks!!

Did it just stop working all of a sudden or did you make a change, load a particular skin or not come up on a reboot?
Did you install any new hardware/software recently including updates?
Yes, I have used windows update, and installed the latest updates.
I have also formated the PC.

But I have done this things(formated + update) 10-20 times the last 4-5 years.
And never had problems with ODNT and WB
Maybe Windows have updatet something that effects WB some way?

I think there were some issues with a recent Windows Update that "may" have something to do with it. I'm assuming you installed through Stardock Central. If not try that route. If your running on a clean install and only have the 2 softwares installed you may just want to use the zapper and do a clean install "after" getting the update fix from MS.

I stopped using the "automatic" updates about 2 years ago after one of them borked my server. Now I usually wait a week or so after release to see if anyone complains.

Yes, I used Stardock Central, to download and install WB and Iconp.
I will try to go back and update things and do a clean install.

Thanks.
And have a wonderfull and great Christmas.

That worked, used system restore to a earlier moment, and waited to install Object Desktop until I have updated windows.
So users with same problem : Try this method!!

Merry Christmas!!
