Trial Version Expired, Icons Stuck, NEED HELP!

I ran the trial version until it expired. After it expired, I uninstalled it via the Control Panel.

I restarted my computer and all the icons were still there from the skin I had applied last. I've tried everything I know. I even tried hunting down the actual images themselves...No luck. What's really screwed up is I made SURE the .icl files were deleted...Yet Windows is still using the icons.

So I purchased WindowBlinds, one because I loved it and wanted to get my hands on some other options with it, but two so I could see if that might fix this little issue.

Of course it didn't! No matter what Skin I applied the icons remained the same. To top it off, I also had no animation and no sounds!

At the moment WindowBlinds5 is UNINSTALLED and the folder was deleted.

Does anyone have ANY idea what the deal is? This is becomming rather frustrating. Technically it doesn't even make sense!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The "leftover" icon images are coming from the icon cache which needs to be refreshed. You must have (or have had) IconPackager on your system (otherwise the icons from the theme would not have been applied). Open IP, select, load & apply the default windows icons, then uninstall IP. That should take care of it.

To top it off, I also had no animation and no sounds!


For what it's worth, per-pixel skins do not support sounds.
