Window Blinds incompatible with Dark Messiah game

I have just bought Dark Messiah of Might and Magic and have found an issue.
I'm not sure if it is the fault of the game developer or a bug in Window Blinds so I thought I'd ask here as well as the game developer's forum.

The game will not start with Window Blinds running unless I change the properties of the game .exe to disable visual styles. It immediately quits with a generic "an error occurred" message.

My version of Window Blinds is an OEM one that shipped with my Alienware PC earlier this year. I can't find a version number in the About dialog box.

Don't have a bundled OEM version.

In normal Window Blinds, you get a configuration window that has a 'per application' option to add an application to an exclusion list to not be skinned.

If Alienware didn't bundle that option in the version they licensed you'll probably have to unload it each time to use anything that has conflict.

Generally, once licensed and bundled it becomes the 3rd party's.

Some apps/games won't open because of a 'i will skin you / no you won't' conflict.

Update to the latest Alienware XenoMorph installer from their website or add

[mm.exe]
ActiveFix=1
IgnoreApp=1
DontShow=1

to \program files\alienguise\wbdbg.ini

It's already been corrected, but that only helps for installers going forward.

Thanks a lot

Now that's service. I've never had an answer so quickly from any forum before.
