Sluggish Performance On ObjectDock

I have a new Dell e1505 with the new core duo and an ATI x1400 and 1gb of ram.

I am extrememly picky about what processes run on my machine and how the performance of applications is. For some reason a portion of my ObjectDock is running slow.

I have the freeware version btw, not that it should matter. The right 7 icons are always smooth but the ones on the middle and left side are always sluggish. Actually, about 2 times or more sluggish when I move my cursor over them. I have tried both performance settings and they make no difference. I'll post a picture of what the dockbar looks like.

Since it's a different program from the Plus version it probably does matter.

You might want to try re-arranging the "items" on the dock to see if it's individual items that are the problem. The standard procedure is to remove docklets one at a time until you find the culprit. It's almost always a docklet causing performance issues.

Hm, I seem to have found the culprit. It is Firefox 1.5.

Why would firefox do this and is there a way to get it to stop being so sluggish?
