Rush Limbaugh accused Michael J Fox of "exaggerating" his Parkinsons disease, saying that the tremors and shaking MJ exhibits in the political commercials now in rotation on national TV are "purely an act". Link

Whilst I agree that MJ probably didn't stick to the medication regimen he's on to minimize his symptoms, I don't think his flailing and tremors are "an act".  He was diagnosed years ago and has appeared in public less and less because his disease is progressing.  Rush may not agree with embryonic stem cell research and may not like or respect the candidates these commercials are promoting, but to imply that Fox acted and exaggerated....well, it's in incredibly bad taste, IMO.

So true, so true. I've thought of Rush as a tosser (whatever the hell that means) for years, but he just keeps speading fecal frosting all over that cake.

I'm starting to think there's nothing redemptive in his whole program - it's just party-line nonsense, to play to the sickening masses, just like Gene said in his well-crafted article.

Actually, he never accused MJF of acting them out, Rush Limbaugh only wondered out loud why he has never seen him show any of the severe symptoms in his non political appearance...  He then said he wonders if MJF is acting them out.  After callers pointed out that MJF admitted in his autobiography that he purposely goes off his meds before an appearance, to show the full effects of Parkinson's, Rush apologized for saying he may be acting them out.

Like Rush, Dislike him, or even enjoy a nice white-hot hatred for him, but whichever you chose base it on facts about him and not the dishonest spin of his detractors.

My grandfather died of Parkinsons, and he was far worse than Micheal J Fox. Rush Limbaugh is an arrogant idiot, and always has been. He can't seem to open his mouth without inserting his foot, and everytime he gets on the national stage where people other than his fans listen, (like when he was did a stint on Sunday night football) he shows people just how stupid he is. I guess he has never heard the old adage, "It is better to remain silent and have everyone think that you are stupid, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt."

I don't like him because of his own dishonest spin of nearly everything. He is such a hypocrit whenever he makes statements like this, that it literally makes me sick to my stomach.

I AM basing it on facts.  I've read and re-read his words from numerous sources and I simply cannot find a way in which what he said could be positive or even simply civil.  He does this over and over; the last time he pissed me off was with his 'this wasn't a successful attack, folks' over the London bombings last year.  People DIED, ergo the terrorists WERE successful.  Just because it wasn't on the scale of the twin towers, doesn't mean it's not successful.

I like MJ too.  I also have patients who suffer from Parkinson's disease, and it really pisses me off to hear Rush question whether MJ was 'exaggerating' his symptoms.  From what I saw, MJ's tremors were typical of Parkinson's and didn't look like 'an act' at all.

I personally think that Rush should spend some time with a Parkinson's sufferer so he can see just what this disease does to people.  Maybe then he'd think before he opened his big fat gob. (That's big fat mouth, in case you were wondering, San Chon )
