How does window blinds effect my computer

Hi,

Awhile back I bought window blinds and I now have a new PC, it is a Gateway FX510 series, I have 3 gigs of ram, a 21' LCD flat panel screen with high def connected via DVI.

I bought the latest version of window blinds, I got the whole object desktop.

Anyhow,
I noticed that my computer was not responding as fast as it was before I put in the window blinds, there seems to be a lag when I do things, like open programs and windows, etc;

Is this normal for window blinds to slow down your PC? the whole idea of me getting the extra ram and having a dual core processor was to speed up the workings of my PC.
Of course I like the extra bells and whistles. But, not if it is going to effect the performance of my machine.

Does anyone else see this as a problem with your machines's?

since you have the whole package... what else are you running?

the only time WB seems to affect performance for me is when I'm changing skins.

I have never had a performance problem with WB, and my system is less powerful than yours. Like Bichur said, are you running any other programs with it?

We need a bit more information to start tracking down the issue.  When you're noticing a slow-down, what does your process list show as taking up the most RAM and CPU?

What other applications are you running?  Antivirus?  Firewall?

Are you running CursorXP, DesktopX, ObjectBar, ObjectDock?
