Lookin' for someone to do a GUI for my website..

Hey all, I'm doing a website and I thought it would be a fantastic idea to make the website design in the theme of an operating system. Well everybody on the team pretty much sucks at graphics and since everybody here makes bad ass GUIs, I thought I'd make a post here and see if anybody's interested.
We're a team called Iccusion, and we make games and software and all kinds of shit.
You're not gonna get paid for it, but it'll sure be something you can put on your resume if you want, and you'll have fun with us.

If you've got AIM, my sn is IccusionInsayne. Please by all means contact me if you're interested.

To elaborate a bit more, what we're looking for is basically a design schema. for the site base. It would be fantastic if someone wanted to make a kick-ass layout altogether for us, but even a pretty sketch would get us on the right foot.

You see, our team's artists are pre-occupied, and the rest of the developers have little-to-no creativity or imagination. We think that a friendly atmosphere of an OS might suit well to clients, but are unsure as to how it should all be laid out on the page. Our software/games/etc. pretty much cover a large area of interests, and we could use some help in providing a nice, friendly means for connecting with the client.

So yeah, please contact my partner ( IccusionInsayne ) or myself ( xHieadx ) if you can help. The layout styles found here are sweet, and we could use a custom kicker like that, as well.

You're not gonna get paid for it,
That's not something likely to infuse one and all with oodles of enthusiasm, not when GUI design is [or can be] quite lengthy/time-consuming, and, as with all 'creative art' there's issues of ownership and copyright.  You 'may' find someone eager to do a 'freebie' but as with all facets of society...pay peanuts and expect monkeys...

Naturally, that's why I pointed out that we're only looking for a sketch. I know the design aspect itself is an important one as well, else we'd have it handled already, but I was hoping that by exemption of asking for the actual layout itself, but rather for some step-in-the-right-direction, we might get at the least a creative monkey with some artistic talent.

Heh, I'll agree: that was an entertaining response.

On an aside, I'm sorry if we're making it sound like we've belittled the design aspect by seeming as if we're just going to have people racing to make us freebie arts. If only art were so easy as reading a few books and typing in some text! Alas, it's something that is almost entirely intuition and vision, and something that comes in rare quantities. For 'free,' we could only hope for a scribble-art sketch at best, and thankfully that might well be all we need to start off.

Why ask here? Well, aside from knowing what to ask, good monkeys are supposed to know where to ask. This site is all about tweaking things into total art and, even moreso than just the small graphics, this site holds a lot of things as far as designing how a computer OS might appear to its user. Having a web-OS appear so appealing would truly be a great thing for the client, no doubt.

Ok, again to elaborate some more, I'm not not lookin' for someone to make us a layout and then just fuckoff, I'm tryin' to recruit a new team member. We're not off the ground yet, but once we get the site going we'll be getting some money coming into it and then we'll have funding to pay all team members.. *shrug* So I guess it'd be like do some work for us now and if you stick with the team long enough you'll get some payment then..
