Christopher Glenn, the voice of news for a generation apparently passed away today.

I remember his voice from the youth oriented "In the News" reports on CBS when I was much younger. Later, I knew him as one of the primary voices of CBS's radio news (especially in the evenings with their World News Roundup).

I knew he retired not long back, but wasn't aware that he was suffering from cancer. He had a long career working for CBS for 35 years, and more time as a journalist before that. I'm sad to hear he passed away, and hope it wasn't painful.
