First snow of the year

Well, it was bound to happen sooner or later. The first snow of the year fell Sunday night, October 15th, and continued into Monday morning. Total snowfall was roughly 1 inch, which was just enough to make everything nice and white. Driving was unaffected.
I guess this makes winter officially here, even if it is a few weeks earlier than its supposed to be. The snow won't stick around though. This week will warm up a bit and it should be gone in a few days.
Here is a shot taken out the window at work. I'd have taken the shot here at home, but it was totally dark . (I left early in the morning to go to work to avoid any driving problems.)

I don't have a lot of time to do much of anything around the house lately (work has been pretty much all consuming), but the good thing is there really isn't a lot that needs done. There are always "odds and ends" type projects and those are easy to take care of in a few minutes or an hour or two. By the time the work week is over however, I'm pretty well exhausted from my regular job.
I'm looking forward to some vacation time to spend with the Hannah and Collin...its been a long time since I've seen them. Hopefully their passports will come in soon so I can schedule some time with them...I'm sure they will enjoy playing in the snow. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't miss them, particularly when I go to the park. It reminds me of all the times that I've taken them to various parks in Arkansas.
Time to go to work...
