New WB wont stay in the WB config list.

It keeps disappearing.

My new WB at the gui champs(Plasmatron A.I.) wont stay in the WB skin list.If I rebuild the skin list or switch skins it disappears. It downloads and installs fine(tho all new skins go into the WB folder compressed, dont know why)it just dosnt stick.

Skinstudio gave me fits after I saved it under a new name and adding a substyle was a nightmare.Seems every little change caused some images to get lost. Then I would spend hours restoring it back to working again.

The save as function would always lose some files and settings.

I got it a while ago.

Stays for me.

But, I also didn't get the substyle.

Did you delete the old folder first? Not just from the WB config but from the WB folder?

uh, actually this is the first I knew you were updating.... so I had no reason to delete anything - when I said a while ago, I meant like last week or so (I got no short term whachamacallit).

If I delete it and reinstall it shows long enough to switch to it,I can even change substyles but if I rebuild the list, its gone.

Did you set a skin category by mistake?

Once a skin shows in the list it will remain in the list.  Changing skins makes no difference (the skin info is stored in a basic database)

Do you mean set skin category in skinstudio?I think it was set to "computers".Thats one of the things it ask for.

Neil,I opened it in Skinstudio and set it back to default "others" and even deleted that attribute...still disappears.

Using the add skin button puts it back in the list and recompresses the folder...then it disappears again.

I was having that problem with this skin, it d/loaded but wasn't in the WB config list, so I went into your PlasmatronA.I wb folder and changed the file : PlasmatronA.I..ssd and the file: PlasmatronA.I..uis , removed the extra period after the I's and it stayed in the WB config list. I applied the skin it worked fine, even the substyle, then applied a different skin and it was still there. I'm not any blind expert but this worked for me!

Yeah,I did exactly the same thing...changed every reference of PlasmatronA.I. by dropping the last period...every folder ,every image every uis file and still no go...

thanks tho gooberbean, your suggestion might have been something I havnt tried.

I uploaded the "fixed" version,downloaded it,installed it.............

AND...after skinstudio zipped it,skin category reverted back to "computers" and lost some images AGAIN!

Skinstudio has done strange things to my last 3 skins(especially the shutdown/logoff stuff)(the save as and zipping functions seem to be responsible),all created on different machines...I have only 24 processes running at boot and very little software installed.

Latest full release of WB messes up context menus(puts holes in them)

Tried renaming the skin with no periods....now half the skin is missing and the substyle totally disapeared. And thats after uninstalling, rebooting and reinstalling Skinstudio.
I could have a 2nd WB for the competition half finished with the problems in this ONE WB.

Ok,after removing all periods and repairing broken images...it is done.

There were a lot of periods...notepad was the only way.
