Stupid Reporters, Get Your Facts Straight!

I've NEVER been on a scene that made the news where I didn't wonder what story the reporters on scene were covering.  Expecting reporters to get the story straight is like expecting Barney Frank to get his love life straight.

Yes, one does have to wonder about them. I've been involved with a few stories over the years and not once were they reported accurately.

I agree with Ted.  All the reporters I've come in contact with have never got anything right.  For instance, they ran a news report in the days after 9/11 about how the line of cars waiting to get on base were all military personnel who had been told to report to the base immediately.  They weren't, they were just people trying to get home.  The line was due to it being FPC Delta, meaning that EVERYONE had to have their vehicle searched prior to being allowed on base.  Had they done a little research, they'd have known that, but they decided to be sensationalist and make it into something it wasn't.  I called the newsdesk and told them they were full of poo and I was disappointed with them, and they said I was about the 20th caller to say the same thing.

I never watched that particular channel's local news again....I felt like I couldn't believe anything they said.

Heh, if they got the facts straight they'd have to ignore their original premise and admit they were wrong.  Not gonna happen.

As another funny for you -- at about 11:47am (eastern time) this morning, ESPN was running the crawl on their HD channel -- it noted the current MLB division series status and noted that Oakland def Twins, and then went on to note that Yankees def Tigers 6-0.... OOoooops, that may be the result that the idiots at ESPN wanted, but it's not what happened -- the Yankees were def by Tigers 6-0, not the other way around.

Of course the Yankee lovers in Bristol probably wanted the other result, but oh well.

Well, actually you can't believe them. They're all full of shit. They're in too much of a rush to make a story deadline to bother to actually get any facts.
