Windowblinds Tray and Skin Problem
Solved, at least for now

I just built a new dual core AMD system, Windowblinds ran perfectly fine on my old AthlonXP system. So far, everything had installed and executed perfectly until recently.
I installed Windowblinds through Stardock Central on a clean install of Windows with updates and all current drivers. I even tried the newest non-beta version, also an older archived version of Windowblinds, they all exhibited the same behavior. Once I rebooted the wbconfig.exe would not load and only the color scheme had changed. Changing the skin in Window blinds would bring up the "Please wait..." dialog, after several minutes I would click dead space with the mouse and the color scheme would change but the skin itself would not. Untinstalling, cleaning registry and deleting directories then reinstalling didn't work. Tried troubleshooting by changing all options one at a time, didn't work.
Finally, I turned off Windows File Protection, now everything works. I always turn off Windows File Protection everytime I install Windows anyway because opening directories, programs and deleting files execute a lot faster. Icon for Windowblinds is showing in the tray now along with my mouse, keyboard and digital camera tray applications. I'm not really sure why it worked but now the skin preview loads immediately instead of a 5 second delay. I'm thinking one of my system configuration files must have been damaged somehow. I'm considering this a temporary fix until the next version of Windowblinds is released, do this at your own risk.
