Well, if you look at it one way...he'd be happy.

If you look at it in that Islam has been corrupted by Wahabism, then maybe not.

I still believe it to be a peaceful religion at its core, and that over time, it's been corrupted. Like any/all other religion(s).

And who is raising these questions? You? I believe Mohammed was a good man, probably even inspired. But what his followers have done, much like what the Christians did in the middle ages, is reprehensible.

No, actually historians.  There is a fascinating secular text on the beginnings of Islam (of course banned in the Muslim world) that raise many of these questions, and also the sincerity of Mohammed.

As far as my knowledge about Islam goes, it always did propagate teachings against the idol worshippers.Its a religion not flexible enough to entertain modern thoughts and ideas. It always has believed in the treatment of women the same as their cattle if not worse. (violent enough?).It feeds on a lot of irrational logics too, which do ultimately result in violence if not followed. According to the Shurriat if a woman gets raped she has to have at least 4 witnesses with her to prove that she is not lying and that is the reason why a lot of rape cases are not accounted.I know its sick.   There is a hint of bisexuality in it too,if one reads the holy koran verses.
