Innocent man charged living expenses for time served in prison in UK

This is a scary must read....

One quote from it.....

"Blunkett’s fight has been described as “outrageous”, “morally repugnant” and the “sickest of sick jokes”, but his spokesmen in the Home Office say it’s a completely “reasonable course of action” as the innocent men and women would have spent the money anyway on food and lodgings if they weren’t in prison. The government deems the claw-back ‘Saved Living Expenses’."

Yes, they would have spent money on food and lodging anyway, but they would also have had the OPPORTUNITY to EARN money all the while as well.

How sick. While people are fighting to give murderers and rapists more rights and better lodgings, they're trying to take away the rights of innocent people, which makes me think that these people fighting for such things are criminals themselves.
