Why doesn't IE 7 work with WindowBlinds?

Does anyone else have a problem with IE7 while WB5 is running?  IE opens but freezes. Very frustrating.

Works fine here. No problems with any skin at all. Does it work ok with WB turned off?

I have not had any trouble either. It seems to be working good on my end.

I'd start by cleaning your system, for a safe registry clean use "toni arts easy cleaner" or if your comfortable use ccleaner, then right click on my computer, clik properties, clik on advance tab, clik on the settings button in performance, clik on advance, clik on virtual memory "change" button, tick the box "no page file" and apply,if you use hybernation disable it,then boot into safe mode and defrag, after defrag re-apply page file,go get any updates from microsoft,IE7 has also been updated to IE7 1RC (i think it's 1RC,no matter it's been updated).(disabling page file and hyber will give you a proper defrag since neither can be defragged while applied,it's what the unmovable files are) Would'nt hurt to use star central and updte wb5 if not done already. IE6 is still installed so when in add/remove IE7 will automatically put IE6 back. Have you installed any plugins into IE7 recently there could be a clash, apart from a driver that's all i got, apart from previous poster asking does IE7 work if wb disabled,in any case defrag now

EDIT: go to lavasoft and get their free spy scanner then go get "spyware terminator" it's free also and does a better job than windows defender and is also a real time scanner and won't affect performance also do a virus scan but make sure all scanners are updated  http://www.spywareterminator.com

Do you have any browser add-ons...toolbar thingies etc.?

WB skins IE7 quite well...and without lockups...so the problem is 'elsewhere'...

Two things bumping into each other. I'd definitely like to find out what is causing it.

I'm having trouble with some black'd out portions of IE7, and a similar problem with a business tool add-on in MS Outlook. Basically certain form backgrounds get black no matter what skin i use.
I even paid my fees and upgraded to WB5.x, but no help.

any ideas?

Haven't had an issue myself, that was not skin spacific.

@grantr I had the same problems as you with the blacked out portions of IE7. IE also froze too like the op said. I found it was the webblinds add-on. Turning this off solved the problem. Altho to turn it off you have to get IE7 to open. I used the open IE(no add-ons) in system tools, opened internet options, advanced tab, and reset IE settings, ok your way out and close IE. This disables all add-ons. Open the normal IE7 and go back to internet options, go to programs tab, manage add-ons, and re-enable the add-ons you want/ need. You should be able to isolate the add-on causing the problem.

Hi, I'm having issues with IE 7 as well. Everything thing works fine except for IE 7, where the Addressbar, Live Search, Adrress Bar and Basic Menus it shows completely transparent. Also, if I move a window across the completely transparent area or if something is under it, the area shows as if it has frozen up. It continues to do so and can be ignored until the 'blacked out area' has made it too hard to see the Tabs/Adrress Bar. I'm currently using the G-Pod v2 by ^^Gabriel and have also tried all the other skins (as in the skins that came with the program) and all show the same problem. I've tried the following top/information from TaintedShirt (reply #14) and nothing had changed at all. Thanks for you help and cooperation.

[EDIT @ 11:40PM 12/16/06]:
Sorry, I forgot to add the picture url which is a picture of what the 'blacked out area' looks like. I hope this helps and once again, thanks for you help and cooperation.

Using WB 4.5 is your problem I am afraid.  You will need to upgrade to a later version of WB.
