Windowsblinds and Display Properties Cause Crash

I tried to apply the Eminence skin and it looks pretty cool and all but the fonts are WAY too small. So I go into display properties > Appearance > Advanced and I chose the icon/title bar/menu/message box fonts to be changed. When I hit apply display properties will freeze up and I have to manually close the process. The fonts remain unchanged.
I tried to using windowblinds to change font size by setting it 20-30% above default but my icon fonts dont change at all while the text in the taskbar becomes uncomfortably huge. Any way to fix this?
I also tried to edit the skin using SkinStudio but I can only see font changes under the widgets section and that dosnt help at all...
