Hairdos and Please Don'ts

Last night was the first time we have been able to go to a ball since 2000. It was so much fun to doll up and get girly. Most of the time, I am a jeans and t-shirts kinda girl (or yoga wear) so it was fantastic. I'm posting a picture of my hair. I LOVED it. I timed my haircut to coincide with the ball and at the last minute decided to ask my stylist to curl it. I never have the patience to do anything but a quick straighten and now I wish I'd learned how to do my own hair, because this was great. I loved it so much that I didn't wash my hair last night and I'm enjoying my bouncy, Marilyn Monroe curls for one more day.

Most of the females were dressed in various formal dresses. Most (not all) were cookie cutter dresses, made to fit and flatter a variety of figures. They looked nice, not fantastic, but very nice. HOWEVER, some women chose a different path. And I have to ask...
WHY?!? WHY?!?! Why do women squeeze into dresses that are too small, too trampy or just plain ugly?
I understand that you want to feel good about yourself, but just because the size 6 doesn't pop off.....doesn't mean you are a six. Get a 10 and look less like a sausage. Trust me, it will look better.
I understand that you want to look sexy, but low cut, high slit, too tight combos leave you looking like you should stand on a streetcorner or dance on a pole. You look slutty, not sexy. Vamp up your best feature, but dont' show ALL of them.
Last but not least. Just becuase it looks good on your friend with big boobs does not mean it will flatter you with your A cup. Your size 2 sister looks great in that poufy prom style dress. You are voluptuous and the layers just make you fat. Dress to flatter yourself. Dont' worry about what dress is the newest, most expensive or in the most magazines......dress to look your best!
And most of all? Dress in something you are comfortable in and that makes you feel good.
