Looks pretty tame. We can use the rain.

We're supposed to get a direct hit around 8:00PM Wed. but sustained winds will be below hurricane strength (50-60) Picked up the yard funiture and put the trash cans in the shop. Got all the gas cans filled for the generator a month ago and an extra propane tank for the grill.

I just wish it would get over with.............the news hypes it so they (TV stations) can sell more Home Depot/Lowe's ads. Yesterday they were talking Cat 3 now it's not even a hurricane.

Best thoughts and wishes to you and yours, ID, from way up here in Idaho. Hang in there.

Winds 20-30 mph..........not even a tropical storm anymore. I'm glad for myself and all my neighbors..........but really pissed at the local TV stations which hyped this thing for 3 days and scared the sh*t out of all the older folks and yankee transplants (damn yankees....Do you know the difference?) I'm sure they'll reap the rewards as Home Depot and Lowes pony up with larger advertising/commercial budgets for the next month. I know they both made a killing............

Glad you and yours are OK. And it's not like the supplies won't be needed later.

Sorry for venting.....I had a couple employees come to me and ask for advances on their pay so they can run out and buy "hurricane supplies" before they were all gone...(TV term "all gone") I gave them the advances but now they're going to go through tough times because their budget doesn't have room for a $600 generator or $150 worth of plywood to board up their windows for something that is less than what a daily afternoon thunderstorm during July produces.

well, better safe than sorry...you guys were lucky the storm just kept getting weaker and weaker...i've lived in the caribbean for the last eight years, and i'd rather be prepared than caught unaware....i was in honduras for hurricane mitch, and we had one day's notice before it hit, no time to buy anything...that was an experience i never want to repeat...

let us hope we always just lose a few bucks on generators and plywood rather than our entire homes and businesses....

i really glad you are all ok
