Transfering Ship Models

I am using Kryo's Ship Mod and had built several designs I liked. Started with blank hull jewels and worked my way up from there.

When I started a new game, I choose a different base model ship line. I am not seeing the ship designs I had made, of course.

Is there a way to 'transfer' those designs to another base model line?

You may be able to pull it off by simply changing the Sn_ prefix on the ship's files in My Documents\My Games\GalCiv2\ships to the number of your new race (but it may not work).

The simple solution is just to use the same style all the time though, since the mod makes everything available anyway
