This release should make for some happy campers. Looking forward to trying it out myself. Is it September 12th yet? Someone needs to make a DX ObjectBar 2.0 countdown widget.

Hallelujah!!!

I have been using ObjectBar as my primary interface and waiting patiently for v2.0, but I had almost given up hope. The preview looks good.

From the pictures it looks like a combination of parts of Window Blinds, Object Dock, and SysMetrix. If it is fairly easy to use it will probably be a huge success. Good job!

FINALLY! I've been waiting for a while for this. Signed up ODNT for a few things: WindowBlinds, ObjectBar, and IconPackager. I can personally say now that I've finally got my year's worth.

Now if we can just get LogonStudio 2.0 ... *hint-hint*

I'm really jazzed about this release. I would love to know what sort of prebuilt themes/bars will be shipping with it. I assume the 9/12 date is release to ODNT subscribers as well as general public...

Looks great!

I am curious about something though - part of the things that OB can do is the same thing as RightClick, although it does come with a larger memory footprint. So what are your plans in regards to that? Are you going to phase out RightClick, or take it to a slightly different direction, or leave it as a stand alone component for those that just want that functionality and nothing else?

Bring it on, Stardock!

Any chance those themes can be pushed to SDC as a beta build?

The deskop menu features of ObjectBar are gone I believe. It's focusing on creating desktop UI's.

Thinking ahead about avoiding confusion: Perhaps you might rename the 'ObjectBar theme' to 'ObjectBar construct' to better communicate that it is not simply a thematic variation, like a skin, but actually a new design.

'ObjectBar skins' will only be able to change the appearance of existing constructs; but constructs, as the name implies, can take any shape or form.

Please give 'construct' some consideration, as I think it is a clearer term than 'theme.'

I guess by "desktop menu features" you're referring to the right click customizable menu, and that doesn't fall under the category of "desktop UI's" why exactly...? Actually, it's probably for the best, less confusion, clear separation of funtionality, etc. I just hope you guys don't forget about RightClick. I think it's almost 100% there as far as just customizing the right click menu (ability to put widgets into is awesome! ). However, I would like to see the ability to add multiple menu roll-outs, similar to how right click menus work in 3ds max. As well as perhaps different form factors - circular menu for example.
