hey, does anyone know a way to play galciv2 in window mode?

yes
do a search for window on the forum and you can find a link named Running GCII in a windowWWW Link

Hopefully the hyperlink work, first time trying to do it on this forum software

YUP

To play in window mode go into the game and in the options section is a check-box for 'window mode'.

Please note your native screen resolution MUST be higher than 1024x768 for the window mode to function.
