Try reinstalling. See if that helps. If not, then it's beyond me.

Check that you have the latest version of DirectX installed properly as well. Barring all else, google that file and download it specifically.

Thanks for your help! Unfortunantly, reinstalling doesn't work. (I think I installed it 3 different times.) I have DirectX 9.0C and when I download the .dll file and put in my C:\Windows\System it gives me this message:

The D3D8THK.DLL file is linked to missing export GDI32.DLL:Entry1.

It also gives me an error saying:

C:\Program Files\Stardock\TotalGaming\GalCiv2\GalCiv2.exe
A device attached to the system is not functioning.

Can anyone help me.

Thanks,

I couldn't find a debug.err. And I have updated my video drivers. Sorry, what are system specs. By the way, I'm running Windows ME not XP.

Thanks for your help,

Please follow these steps, this will at least give us some technical information to work with if there's no debug.err file in C:\Program Files\Stardock\Totalgaming\GalCiv2 (if there is a file named debug.err there, open it in notepad and copy/paste all of its contents into a post here):

Go to start menu > run. Type in "dxdiag" without the quotes, and run it. When it comes up, click 'save infromation', wait for it to process everything, then save the file. Go open that file in notepad, select all of it and copy/paste it into a post here.
