Tycus - i noticed that before but thought maybe you had an old account and uploaded on that name - never occured to me someone ripped a SS's. Just doesnt make sense - does it.

no.., but it's kindda funny to see how people without skills are desperate to submit whatever they find(and i'm talking about the rippers)

Maybe a new upload policy is needed, one where everyone that uploads is required to first submit a completed Windowblind or Object Dock or simular that they created. Then they would understand more of what goes into the creation of what is here. I do not think that wallpapers, screenshots or single icons count.
I am not trying to squelsh any of the creativity that exists here, just a better education of those that are here but have not done a lot. Yes that does inlcude myself on that 'has yet to do list'... As I am trying to create a WB that fits with the wallpaper that I have created, I am getting a deeper and deeper appreciation to what all of those that have gone before have created, and the time that they have put into it and I am in awe of it all.
After all, it only takes a couple of seconds to take an existing object and do a 30 second mod to it, and change basically nothing and go see what I created when in reality, it is nothing more then a flat out rip.

Drej16 has a good point. I've caught some rippers as you can tell from my previous forum topic submission. I think the standards on submissions should change because of the varying u_n_d_e_r_l_i_n_i_n_g thieves that's going around. I mean back in the day people were very discreet and nonchalant sorta speaking when ripping, not a poor excuse, but now it's just straight out ripping in your face just blatantly like they just don't care. Like the thieves mentioned to me over at DA 'hey we gettin a whole lot of downloads'. So that's their main concern -downloads

yea i know that, but to me this is kindda funny(i dont realy know why...), i mean., what is the main point of ripping a work? downloads? ....mmmhh, a good example of this is at deviantart, with all those Vista clones, and the only one that i see that is fighting against them is scion'....
