As my hip was hurting a good bit this morning, I got out the vicoden I've had stashed back. The bottle only had two pills in it and Ive had them for a pretty long time now, maybe 7 or 8 months. They were prescribed at 2 pills every 8 hours. I took the two of them with my morning coffee hoping they would ease the pain in my hip a bit.
They did help some. After eating my lunch I cracked open a brew. Just about the time I finished the second beer I feel a pretty healthy buzz and that's when I remembered taking the vicoden this morning. Oops. I never intentionally mix alcohol and narcotics. Good way to wind up dead.
It's getting close to the 8 hour mark and I can tell the vicodene is starting to wear off because the pain in my hip is returning. I still have a pretty healthy buzz (I didn't drink any more beers after I remembered taking the pills), but it's finally starting to wear off a little too.
I enjoy a nice beer buzz, but I gave up the whole getting stoned thing a long time ago. Right now I'd say stoned is what i am. I'm just glad I remembered the pills before I had any more. I don't drink my beers quickly at all, but I do enjoy sipping on them throughout the day on my off time and I'm relaxing at home.
