.....I don't know how to start this..... okay..... I'm seventeen.... and I'm a Muslim..... and everytime I stumble upon articles or blogs or any sort of materials like those pictures and comments, I feel like crying. I will not say that those pictures were just an act to slander the Muslims, because I am not God and I do not know the truth...... I just pray that all of you could believe that not all of us Muslims agree to what these extremists are doing.

I want to believe you. I would have an easier time doing so, however, if the "nice" Muslims were shouting these people down.

In the Christian community, we have idiots like these, too. People like the vermin Fred Phelps of Westboro Baptist Church, or like the Ku Klux Klan. But when these cretins show their ugly heads, you will almost certainly find as many, if not more, GOOD Christians to shout these rats down. Why don't Muslims see the same need?

Wanting peace and actually doing something about it are two different things. The "peacful Muslims" who claim to only want to live in peace do nothing at all to end the acts of the extremists and often allow them to operate openly in their communities.

That's what the rest of the world sees.

I would like to know how big this 'rally' was too though, the pictures may make it look larger than it really was.

Seems to me that most folks in here are stuck with christianity and Islam as being confined to specific geographies.The Americas, europe; thats it.......and all white christians and all Arab muslims.Maybe there is a clue in there? Check your stats guys.The world is larger than the mention.

Well according to me PAKISTAN is behind the terrorism in INDIA.We can't beleive the muslims they are not at all trust worthy.Earlier our government was following the policy of peace and friendship with pakistan but now i want the government to follow TIT FOR TAT policy if Pakistan is against INDIA then we are against pakistan.If Pakistan is intrested in friendship then we are always there. after the mumbai blasts government should take serious action against terrorism and specially the people of pakistan..

well, you must separate beetween independence fighter (like our brother in palestine and libanon) and extremist/terrorist! (israel!, who take over palestine's land in 1968). Can you see that PLO and HAMAS just there because of palestine land, they have the right to take the land back!. if you know hizbullah, they born after israel attack libanon at 1982, so they born because no justice in they land, and they fight for that!
I agree if UN has to be reformed! there's no stupid "veto"!, no more US domination in UN, every nation has the same position! And yes, i wonder if UN's head quarter is not in US! May be in Europe, Asia, or Africa, but not in stupid US! Otherwise, maybe lot of moslem country has their own Moslem's UN, maybe in Indonesia or Malaysia, (not in Saudi Arabia, sorry, but they are just US Mice! nor other Arab country).

I sympathise with Rin-Rin. It must be disturbing to feel that the World isagainst you. However, I must tell you two things here: Firstly, we baby-boomers waved placards during the Vietnam War. They may not have been so bad but "Hang LBJ" and "Screw You Lyndon" were close (?). Sometimes people get carried away.

Secondly, and more important, I live in Cairo, and it seems to me that I am making friends daily with helpful, friendly peoplewho are mostly Muslim. Don't tell me, ever, that there are no good Muslim people!
