Out of memory and out of luck

A problem im having

from GalCiv2 Forums
Well, recently I have been playing a big game in a huge galaxy with a large amount of ships. I also have been running rwo mods. And when I try to save BAM, a window comes up saying "Out of Memory" on my desktop and the game crashes. I tried not running anything in the back ground, but that didn't work. Is this a computer issue or do I need to scale down my map/ships/etc? Any help would be great.

Are you playing the 1.3 beta? There is a memory bug in the first 1.3 beta that will be fixed in the next update.

is it possible to install 1.2 until the update is available?

i bought the game three days ago via SDC and didn't see a choice to download another than 1.3 beta..

not sure if you can uninstall an update. To prevent beta downloads, on the bottom of SDC is an box to show pre-release versions. Toggle it off if you dont want to get beta's.

You could uninstall the game, turn off pre-releases, then reinstall.
