Major Problem with my WindowBlinds or Computer, Help Needed Bad!

Hello once again folks of WinCustomize;
I've had boughten a copy of WINDOWblinds 5.0 Enhanced, now I have installed it on my desktop and it works perfectlly, no problems or errors what so ever.
Now I had just bought a new Acer Ferrari laptop with the stock resolution of 1680x1050.
Now when I install my windowblinds on this comp, i do make sure that nothing else is running. So i know thats not my problem. But when I install it, it installs with no problem. When I open up window blinds, the screen comes up with all the skins to choose from, now heres where it gets wierd. There are no scroll arrows to click on to scroll from theme to theme, the top tab is gone as well, you know when i want to close the window, the X and Minimize line etc..are gone completely, and I have not yet installed any skins.
When I do install a skin, the skin does not install, the "please wait" sign of the skin comes up when it tries to switch, the XP theme i have running stays in the taskbar, and everything else turns into windows classic view, so its a half of windows classic and XP stock theme. I have no idea whats going on and its very frustrating. Like I said I use this version on my desktop and it works great, no problems.
So any ideas or help that anyone can offer, I would greatly apprciate anyhthing that can help me fix this problem.

I have as well changed the resolution to minimal 1024x768 and nothing happened, i might have thought resolution thing but not. Also is there any settings I need to change in the WindowBlind Settings to make it work right? I dont know im just trying to think of anything that might be causing this problem. I did a reformat too thinking it was my comp but the same problem happens.

Did you try to apply it twice? Sometimes that works, I have no clue why.

This same thing happened to me. I installed WindowBlinds 5.01 on my Toshiba Satellite notebook, and I had the same problem. I tried changing resolution, and everything else. I even uninstalled WB and reinstalled it. Nothing helped at all. I honestly don't know what to tell you. What version of XP are you running? I'm running Pro with SP2. That might have something to do with it.

Yes, I am running XP Pro SP2 as well, I think this is some B.S. I spend my hard earned money on this program and computer and it doesnt work straight, I just dont see how it doesnt work, plus it works on my desktop with XP Pro SP2 on it. I tried installing it twice, the theme that is and that didnt work,so I am 100% stumped, it works on my neighbors DELL laptop, same resolution, so I just have no clue, is there any contact info to Stardock that might be able to help? I dont know, i just wish it would work on my laptop, so i want to try everything in my power to get it working right!

Thank You for those who helped me by replying, I greatly appreciate it!!

LOCC, you clearly have a conflict with WB and your video/GUI setup or hardware. The fact that it works on so many other systems points this out. My daughter easily runs WB on her ACER Centrino Duo without conflict. I suspect that because the Ferrari edition is cutting edge hardware that pushes the limits, that there is a video driver conflict. I would check with Acer and see if a newer video driver is available, and if not, if an older more stable driver can be obtained. Good Luck and please let us know what fixes the issue.

Best Regards,
