Ship goes Up, down, Up, Down, Up....

I had my first underway on my ship these last few days. Was just a 3 day trip mainly for training purposes.

There's nothing quite like standing out on a ship, a long distance from shore. The view is just plain breathtaking. Needless to say I LOVE it. I only got to see 1 dolphin though.. and no other sea life... I'm sure on later voyages I'll get to see a lot more.

I'm glad though, that they put 'seatbelts' on the beds though. They don't exactly strap you down, but they hook up in a way that prevents you from falling out of the bed. It was really handy on the first night when at midnight they decided to do some type of drill and take a really really sharp turn. Though I slept amazingly well though. It's kinda like being rocked to sleep; though admitedly I woke up that next morning with a pretty sore back from that said rocking.

Ohh, and if you time it right, you can jump really high on a ship!!

I also didn't get sea sick. Not even the tiniest bit of nauseau from me. We even skirted around Beryl for a bit that first night. Had some fun ups and downs, side to sides that night =) Can't wait to go back out again!!

I can't imagine what it's like being strapped into bed so you don't fall off your bunk. I am sure I could get used to it if I had to but how weird. I would think that I wouldn't sleep at all the first night.

Do you go out on the flight deck at all? Even watching that on TV, I get scared.

I was on the flight deck every chance I could get. I LOVED it out there.. simply loved it. Was always a nice cool breeze of fresh air, and a nice trainquil view of a nice, deep vibrant blue water. Was Geourgeous. Just had to get used to the ship rocking a bit

Damn it now I wanna go and jump on a ship...like literally just go on one...jump...and get off again...hehe!  I really need to work on my sense of humour.....anyway, I am really glad that you are settling into sea life really well, you seem to be really happy and that makes me smile.  Take care babes x

Well, I can only get people on the ship for short tours.. not for days out sadly. (though you'd prolly hate the accomadations.. LoL)

Damn it now I wanna go and jump on a ship...like literally just go on one...jump...and get off again...hehe! I really need to work on my sense of humour.....anyway, I am really glad that you are settling into sea life really well, you seem to be really happy and that makes me smile.


LoL, the jumping is fun as all get out. Just gotta time it just right, and can jump really high. Hehe, and funny part is, I'll be making port in England sometime this Fall!! Though I can't be anymore specific than that about it OpSec and all....
