WB Updates Overwriting skins

Can this be stopped?

I don't remember if this has been discussed or not...but is there a way to stop the WindowBlinds updates from over writing previous skins...without having to keep moving skins or reinstalling them? This is really a pain in the butt. I have a few skins I made changes to and each time I update WindowBlinds it keeps dumping the skins I don't want back in and overwriting ones I made changes to.

You probably just have to rename your modified ones, and have a modified and an original version.

As with any program you install it will overwrite files of the same name...

I think the question is more "Why does a fairly minor update need to have all those WB skins included?" Could there be an option to just update the program itself?

Exactly!

For me, it doesn't over-write anything I altered, but it does reinstall skins I deleted (if they are part of the WB5 skins package).

Thats whats happening Amizzz...skins that come with the download which I have altered are being overwritten. So now I have to keep a copy of each altered skin in another folder and replace it each time. What a pain!

To include skins in updates are just a waste of bandwith for both Stardock and it's customers.
