New monitor game will not launch

Hi folks... Just upgraded from a 17" fp to a 20" fp. Now I get a black screen when I launch the game. I have tried the following...

Upgraded nvidia drivers.
changed the res and tried on each one.
I looked through the debug.err file and saw nothing to help.

Any thoughts?? I also went to the DVI output.

Go to My documents/My Games/GalCiv2, and open the prefs.ini file there. Open it and near the top you'll find the resolution settings; set the width and height to the same as your desktop resolution (your lcd's optimal resolution, assumably.

If the game doesn't run after that, try simply deleting prefs.ini.

YES!!! Worked like a charm... Thanks. If anyone wonders, the Acer AL2017 LCD is a work of art. Picture is great and it was only 250.00 at the local computer store.

should of bought ur monitor at newegg.com for that price u can get a sweet 19 inch LCD monitor

Civ he just purchased a *** 20 *** inch flat panel (ie LCD)!!
