The common solution is to download Stardock Central https://www.stardock.com/products/sdcentral/ After installing, open the app and go to Tools > Settings > General > check "Enable MCP notification area support" > OK.

Or, you can add a shortcut to SDMCP.exe to your startup folder. SDMCP.exe can usually be found in "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Stardock"

You'll need to reboot after either method.

If you don't have sdmcp, you can get it here:

Thanks Koasati! I just bought ObjectDock+ 1.3 yesterday and (like many others!) was having the same problem. It was driving me nuts! That fix is never one I would have guessed...

There are other bugs in ObjectDock+ that I'll save for a new thread. But, unfortunately, ObjectDock+ is the buggiest Startdock app I've used (I've used many). Most are quite good and I bought OD+ after only a very short trial of OD(free) as I usually don't have problems with Stardock stuff. Anyway, at least this first hurdle is over. A few more to go... :-S
