Which is the most evil alighment and which is the good one!

Until you research Xeno Ethics you are only "leaning towards" an alignment, and then you have only three choices - evil, neutral, or good.

So, in answer to your question, the most evil alignment is "Evil", and "Good" is the good alignment.

The best alignment, however, is "Neutral".

Don't think demonic shows up in metaverse tho. I've played dregin taking every evil choice, and i get Pond Scum all the time on metaverse.

I think in the metaverse, pond scum may beat demonic. Demons really look down big time on pond scum...

From what I have observed, the difference is in whether you chose Evil through Xeno Ethics or not. If you were rated Demonic while playing the game, but did not choose an alignment, then the game would have a listing of Very Evil on the Metaverse. If you chose the Evil alignment, then it shows Pond Scum on the Metaverse.

Is this evil pond scum the scum at the bottom of the pond or is it the scum floating on the top of the pond?

It isn't. Neutral's only good if you can sit and build up the research machine, or don't have great planets and need the tiles quickly. Evil is by far the best, especially weapons wise. Its so easy to get 2 evil weapons ready, and be able to switch your fleets around. The AI will generally defend against what you built first, so you can keep researching the other weapon tec for a while as well.

Not to mention all the planetary bonus(s) you can get on a larger galaxy. If you can specialize those planets you can really rock the AI.
