You mean a background like you could have in Windows 98 :O!? That would be useful for a few folders . How does it cooperate with the images that already come with the music/video/images pictures in those "special folders" ?

Looking forward to the code .

Or... you could use this ..... "Background Wizard v1.01" http://www.geocities.com/phtm77/ click the 'Downloads' link. It was created before XP existed, but it works.

Indian Giver!

Oh, and BTW, I've used WindowsPaper XP that Tarkus links to and it's quite good...allows for any wall on file to be used as a b/g, also various images/formats to be used as folder personalisations like 'My Pictures' & 'Music', etc. Quite nifty!

Glad you guys found my link useful.

Indian Giver!

Tsk, tsk, tsk.

I think it's better to now say "Native American" or "Indigenous Person" giver.

So, is this what is meant by 'sumthin for nuthin?'

Is there any way to use a small image and have it put in a particular corner of the window the way XP does with My Pictures etc... ?
Reply #18 Top
You could always create a larger image with Photoshop or whatever, with only that small image in the corner on a white background, or whatever color background you want.

Not sure about the other program mentioned, but the only problem with Windowspaper XP is that it tiles the background. If you have a seemless background though it looks pretty cool.

i dont know how to post a pic of the screen shot and just cant be bothered

heres the code

Personalized=5
PersonalizedName=My Documents (folder)
[ExtShellFolderViews]
{BE098140-A513-11D0-A3A4-00C04FD706EC}={BE098140-A513-11D0-A3A4-00C04FD706EC}
[{BE098140-A513-11D0-A3A4-00C04FD706EC}]
Attributes=1
IconArea_Image=pictures of importance\Pink.jpg (folder and file for background, the pic is repeditive down the page)
IconArea_Text=0x00FFFF (the colour: yellow)

the bits in() are not nececary
for those of us who just love to fiddle and not have it all served on a platter

sorry mikey, posting from your desktop doesn't work.

first you upload the pic to a hosting site like photobucket or imageshack (both free)
then copy the address it generates there (usually the url one), the paste that into the box here that pops up when you click the 'insert image' button.
