A loud blaring alarm goes off and I suddenly sit strait up in my rack... promptly slamming my head into a 2 inch pipe that goes right above me; and before I even think about it I'm out of the rack and putting my shoes on... I hear over the 1-MC "Flooding reported in Berthing 7, all free hands come to Duty"
I continue to put on my shoes, throw my coveralls on real fast (maybe a total of 1 minute passes since the alarm starts and I'm fully ready in boots and coveralls.. boot camp tought me well.. LoL)... then it hits me suddenly... "Wait... I'm already in Berthing 7!! Their's no flooding here!"
Again the 1-MC comes up "Flooding in Berthing 7, all free hands come to Duty." ..... 5 seconds go by "This is just a Drill"
*groans*
The ladders then start shuddering with the sounds of many feet as everyone starts heading towards my berthing. 30 minutes of pretending to bucket out a flooded room (since of course the drill had the pumps not work)... we finally finish, and I undress and crawl back into my rack... look at my watch which I have hanging on the sprinkler pipe above me... 3am.... Oye....
And to think.. here I thought I'd have nothing to blog about today...
