It is on the Drengin Component Manager.

Will it appear on SDC?

Looks like the version on DCM is the same as the one thats already on SDC 0.9.030?
I haven't changed the SDC one. Just the Drengin one.

The Cntrl-N bug isn't fixed yet btw, working on that today.
by the way ctl-N works if you accept the position and get to the research screen before hiiting ctl-n. It will work any time before you do any selections on any screen, hope that helps you.

Yea, I reproduced it, if you select say the survey ship and hit Ctrl-N it'll crash every time.

The GUI selected ship is getting hosed. It's not in my area so I'm not sure what's causing it but they're looking into it.

We wanted to get 5A out there since the spacebar crash was kind of a biggie. Can't believe I didn't notice that! Sheesh!

Lot of the time when you start Galciv and select exit straight away it hangs. Music keeps on playing but no exit and Galciv.exe not responding.

This is using the file on DGM

I installed 5A and just tried re-running my saved game that crashes each time on the turn after a planet prison revolt with prisoners shops gathered around the planet - smartex report follows.
I guess I will have to start a new game. Shame I was doing quite well ;)

By the way, in beta5 - not tested it in 5a - if you click on the '?' for more details on the Soil Enhancement social project you get a CTD.

steve can you send me that saved game?

Is your prison planet on the edge of the map?
Hmmm...I just installed the latest update (0.9.030) and loaded my saved game (from B4Z). My military project options were narrowed down to only survey ships, constructors, scouts, and a couple of others. No CTD, but not the same game. Weird.

Brad

I will post it tonight when I get home from work

Yes I think it is right in the bottom right hand corner of a huge galaxy map if memory serves me correctly.

Asmodean,

Loading a saved game from a previous beta isn't even remotely a good idea. So many things may have changed that there's no surety that the game will even load let alone run properly.

Steevodeevo,

There's a longstanding bug with ships that, when leaving orbit, appear off the map causing a CTD. Obviously this kicks in a lot with planets on the edge of the map but the prison planet event is trying to span ships in the 3,6 and 9 o'clock positions around a planet while most other ship launches will just look for an open spot on the map.

Magus

thats the exact problem. the three o'clock ship is off screen. sorry for repeating a known issue, I thgought it was to do with the prison break.

Is anyone else noticing that the starship list (spelled all lowercase now) doesn't always show up in the diplomacy screen for the other races?

Am I the only one to see the change in the animations on the planet view for the social projects? There used to be all kinds of buildings and other pictures that were displayed, now all I see is a sphere of longitude and lattitude lines with script flashing on and off. I think the buildings and other animations were much more interesting.
Jack,
You're not the only one seeing this. I got the impression, from a comment that Brad made, that this was by design and that, perhaps, the new graphic is a placeholder for the graphics due in the released game.
Now every project in the game has its own fully animated movie there.

But for download purposes we just have the place holder.

Robert-

If you are at war with a race, you won't be able to see what ships they have.

I've been awfully busy, and may have to leave the country in the next few weeks [I'm in the National Guard, and many of our local units have been activated.], so I haven't been able to play much lately. However, I did download 5A [gonna get the new version tomorrow] and start a game, and I experienced a bug which I've noticed in the last few builds, but never remembered to report, nor have I noticed anyone else soing so. Often when I launch a new ship and then right click on its intended destination, the program will assign a different destination to the ship, and it will head off in the wrong direction. I have to reselect the ship when it's done moving, and reassign the correct destination. Given how often it seems like an AI race beats me to a colonizable planet by one turn, losing a turn's movement like this could have a notable impact.
