WB5 needs a restart

I cannot get WB5 to install

from Stardock Forums
I have bought the full ver of object desktop via CD. i have installed this on a offline pc.
I have downloaded the latest version of Stardock central from the web, as well as the latest version of WB5. I have done the off line activation thing via email. installed the activation patch in the windowsblinds folder. Each time i reboot and try and run WB5 i have an error to say i must reboot, reboot later or use additional rescources. if i select reboot later or use additional recources the error just goes away. i do not have any icon in the task pane and if i click on the windows blinds tab in desktop props the error just comes back. Please please help. this is so frustrating especially when you have paid good money for a cool product.

Ps, everything works fine on my work pc that is connected to the net. so i don't understand this problem.

Open the system information section of the Windowblinds configuration screen and copy/paste the information you see there to this forum thread. The more info people have to work with, the easier things are to solve.

There's also [email protected] if you need it.

Apologies ... I thought it WAS actually opening and you were getting that message..

The only thing I can suggest is to remove all traces of the WB5 install, reboot, re-download a fresh copy, install it and the patch again ~reboot again and hopefully it works.

If THAT fails then send an email to the address I posted above.

Just a thought also ... do you still have a previous install of WB on that comp?

thanx, heres what i did for those who have the same problem.

I restored my pc to before the installation og object desktop cd. i then re-installed from the cd. ran windows blinds 4 that came on the cd. I backed up wb5 on my pc at work, took that to my notebook and placed it in the back up folder. then restored the archive through stardock central. this has worked for wb5. have not tested all other apps yet.
