Need help positioning the Dock

I need help positioning my dock... i know how to position it, but i want it to be docked right below my start menu (I have my task bar at the top of the screen) and would like my dock just below, but whenever i try to position it there its just put behind my task bar, and i have seen docks that sit below the task bar, keep in mind this is not a tabbed dock and it is OD.

You need to have OD Plus in order to do what you want.

Briough, I am not sure whether or not the free version of OD offers this, but here it goes. Open the Dock configuration, then click on the Positioning option. On the right hand side of the window, their will be several options. Before you start anything, make sure you have the "position on screen option" set to top. Now that this is done, look for an option stating, "Automatic distance from the edge" make sure that box is UNCHECKED. Directly under that option is a scroll bar with two extremes...right on edge/far from edge, once you have the check box unchecked and the dock at the top, just adjust the scroll bar to set the dock to the exact position you are looking for.

i have the latest free version of ObjectDock (1.30.028), and it is possible to change the position of the dock from the edge. as KiloKrash describes, open the dock configuration, then select the 'Position' tab, and play with slider i've marked in the screenshot below...enjoy,

position slider

i hope it works for you...it works for me
