Securing the desktop

Can you disable the right click menu and secure the desktop environment - and stop users from exiting object desktop mode - so that general users can access only what you want them to and there is an administrator/password control.
Can this be done outside of buying the enterprise edition of Object Desktop - by using another application running alongside object desktop?

DesktopX enterprise has that feature. It was pulled for DX after 2.x :  .

This might get you close to what you want:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer\NoViewContextMenu, set Dword to 1

As always, registry hacking shold be done at your own risk.

A quick google search turned up a handful or two of results: http://groups.google.com/groups?q=prevent+desktop+right+click&hl=en&lr=&rls=GGGL,GGGL:2006-18,GGGL:en&sa=X&oi=groups&ct=title

I just wanted to point out that there is no program called Object Desktop. Object Desktop is a suite of programs. As Zubaz points out, you're asking about DesktopX. It helps to get your terminology straight when asking questions.
